post-transplant UPDATES

04/30/09 4:00 PM - Kelli is home. She is doing well. I will post more here later. Thank you.

4/28/09 10:30 PM - After a grueling day of tests running the gammit from M.R.I. to lumbar puncture, Kelli remains in the hospital for further testing tomorrow. All the tests from earlier today came back good. The lumbar puncture was the last test of the day and the most painful. The results of that test are not in. I will update as information is available. Thank you for your continued prayers.

4-27-09 10:00 PM
- Kelli has been admitted to the hospital for a
series of tests to determine what the actual cause of these symptoms
she's been
experiencing
are. Initial x-rays and echo-cardiogram indicate that the
heart is still in good shape, so they moved on to suspecting that
she is suffering from some type of infection, type and location,
unknown at this point. The previous tests last week for
infection came back negative, but this was not an exhaustive test
such as those they have already begun to perform. I will keep
every one posted as the events progress over the next 24 hours or
so. Please keep her in your prayers that the problem is
quickly discovered and that she returns home soon.

4-27-09 10:30 AM - Will be leaving work shortly to pick Kelli up for an unscheduled visit to the doctor's to check up on her current condition. I will post the findings of the visit once the information is available. Pray that all checks out for the good.

4-26-2009 7:45 AM - This update is an actual status report. Please continue to keep Kelli in prayer as she continues to go through this period of ups and downs. There is still no solid diagnosis of what's going on with her at the moment. One medicine that she was taken off of has been re-prescribed, so we have to wait and see if this makes the difference we are looking for or whether there is something else going on. She tires easily, sleeps poorly, night sweats have returned, swelling and weigh gain is an issue again. Without question this troubles her mind as these are symptoms she once experienced before transplant while she was suffering from heart failure, so this fear weighs heavily on her. Monday she will receive further insight as results from tests last week come in. I will keep you posted as information is available. Thank you and God bless.
