2/9 8:30 PM - The results of the baseline came out good - arteries are in   good shape.  But, Kelli finds herself once again on the rebound from another invasive, out-patient procedure.  Bump, bump and bumpity, bump, bump.  Kind of like Missouri highways!

2/8 9:30 AM - Kelli goes in tomorrow morning to establish a baseline on the condition of her arteries now for comparison with future tests.  Anytime one goes for "tests" or "procedures" the anxiety levels rise. This particular procedure is a little more "invasive" that others.

2/6 10:00 PM - In keeping with my promise to try and post something every day, I decided before calling it a day, I had better log in and say hello.  Kelli is doing well.  Things are again quiet (thankfully so).

I was thinking tonight while I actually sat and watched some TV for a change, how frequently we are hearing about heart transplants in the media recently.  I don't know whether it's because it is an issue that has touched home and so we are paying attention to it more or whether it's really getting a bigger spot light recently.

The reason I say that is because we watched the Dr. Oz special on the first heart transplant surgery and the race between the three surgeons of the 1960's to accomplish this unconceivable operation.

As Dr. Oz said, thanks to the pioneering efforts of these three relentlessly ambitious doctors, over 100,000 lives have been saved by heart transplant surgery.

2/5 3:00 PM - Get off the highways - stay clear of sidewalk - Kelli is behind-the-wheel!

2/4 7:30 PM - I seem to be running a couple days behind with updates and I apologize.  The results from the biopsy came back unchanged from the previous week.  So, it's good news that things haven't worsened.

On Monday, Feb. 9th, Kelli will be going in for a procedure to develop a baseline on the condition of her arteries.  This is not because of any issue now, but so that when they check this again in a year, they have something to compare to.  I'll let you know how this goes. (I'll try to get these updates back to a timely manner.)

2/2 7:30 PM - While we will not know the results of today's biopsy until sometime tomorrow, the doctor's and medical staff were all smiles today regarding Kelli's condition.  They left her with a good report for today and the doctor specifically reassured her that last week's rejection scare should not alarm her.  Her numbers are good, nothing to worry about.  The results of her echo-cardiogram was good.  Her E.F. (ejection-fraction) was 65% (average being 55-60%).  Heart rate good, blood pressure good.

Perhaps the most exciting news today was the soon-to-be lifting of her ban on driving!  She was told that once she reaches her one-month anniversary that she would be able to drive again!  (With the advisement of using common sense and listening to her body.)  Kelli almost feels like a 15 year old who is just days away from getting their driver's license.

I'm glad that I could share a good report with everyone tonight and thankful for your continued prayers.  I will post the results of today's biopsy when we receive them.

2/2 5:30 AM - This morning we prepare for Kelli's check-up today.  We'll report back as any news as we know.  Keep the prayers going that the reports are all good!
